The Green Media Creations’ (GMC) Board of Directors has elected Ms. Silvia Gutierrez as the new president to run GMC. The Board is extremely excited about this new chapter in the life of the company and looks forward to working with Gutierrez. She brings a wealth of experience to the position.
Gutierrez earned a B.A. in Journalism and Creative Writing from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She was a staff member of CSUN’s newspaper, The Sundial. Besides writing articles for different sections of the paper, she created multimedia packets including pre and post video production, photography, and social media content. Gutierrez was also Editor of Layout and Design for CSUN’s literary magazine, Northridge Review. She oversaw staff and assisted with editing and graphic design.
Gutierrez joined GMC in April of 2015. Since joining GMC, Gutierrez has supervised all major GMC projects, having started off as the PR/outreach specialist and has more recently focused on managing projects in every department. She has worked closely with the team of graphic, video and web designers to develop collateral marketing and outreach materials. She has also provided copy for all types of content and proofreads outgoing media, reports, and proposals.
Gutierrez has worked with over forty (40) water agencies throughout California, including the Metropolitan Water District, Golden State Water Company, the Water Replenishment District, Sacramento Suburban, Mojave Water Agency, Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, the City of Camarillo, Coachella Valley Water District, Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority and Three Valleys Municipal Water District, just to name a few.
Gutierrez is well-versed in water agency protocol and its hierarchical structure. She brings energy and a passion for working with players in the green industry. GMC is very lucky to have such a versatile person heading the company and the Board looks forward to helping her implement her vision for GMC.
